The Academy Games golf competition has come to a close at the Wollongong Golf Club today.
The competitors faced a challenge after many struggled yesterday at the Links in Shellharbour.
Charlie Hartwig of the Southern Sports Academy says it has been great to play on some of the local courses.
“Compared to where I come from, they’re really good,” said Hartwig.
“They’re really lush and good fun to play.”
Local boy Jamie Krzyszczak, from the Illawarra Academy of Sport, enjoyed the home advantage.
“My favourite course would’ve been the Links because it’s my home course, but I know the Grange and Wollongong very well so I play out here a lot.”
